The only modern car that ever came close for me was this — the original US Infiniti M45 from 2004-05 . I generally dislike sedans from a practical standpoint, but this was just cool (and getting rarer by the day):

The Toyota Century does a pretty damn good job too. Too bad you can’t get them in the US...god I wish there were worldwide emissions and safety standards so companies could import low volume vehicles without much hassle.

Bah. I like them, but it’s only 6" longer than my Galaxie and a foot shorter than my ‘59. It’s an inch and a half narrower as well.

Was half expecting to find a K car when I clicked into the post.

The gnashing of teeth in the comments over the ride height is pretty silly. It’s a very nice car - but not so nice that it will cost stupid money.

Right color, too - if I were to get one of these, it would have to be black (and a ‘vert, too).

Black is the only color for these.

“ The Spirit was Dodge’s version of the Chrysler AA platform, a stretched variation of the Chrysler K platform.”

You say this like I don’t know................

Still, it’s technically not a K-car.

You’re in denial. There’s no shame in owning a K car. Just be honest with yourself. This  is a safe space. We’ll still accept you, no matter what platform you identify as owning.

K-cars are K-cars.

Once the chassis was modified, they became something else, such as the AA and AS chassis I own.

Calling an Acclaim a K-car is like calling an SN-95 Mustang a Fox body.

BTW, I would totally own a true K-car and be damn proud of it.

I mean, three generations  of Camaro can be called an F body...
